What Are Disposable Virtual Cards?

Quick guide for disposable cards

Updated over 3 months ago

Disposable Virtual Cards offer a secure and flexible payment method. Designed for businesses like travel agencies and media buyers, these cards simplify payment management while enhancing security for online and contactless transactions.

How Do They Work?

Two Closure Options:

  • Single-Use Cards: Automatically close after one successful transaction. If a payment is declined, the card stays active until it’s successfully used.

  • Custom Expiry Cards: Set your own expiry date—up to three years in the future. The card will deactivate automatically at 23:59 on the selected date.

Why Choose Disposable Virtual Cards?

  • Enhanced Security: No risk of unauthorized reuse.

  • Flexibility: Customize the card’s expiry date or choose single-use for one-time payments.

  • Out-of-pocket: Custom expiry cards work with Google and Apple Wallets (Single-Use Cards do not).

Getting Started is Easy

  1. Log in to the Client Portal or Wallester App.

  2. Go to the Create a card section.

  3. Select Disposable Card and select your preferred option: Single-Use or Custom Expiry Date.

  4. Follow the instructions, and your card is ready to use immediately!
