Updated over 10 months ago

Learn how spend limits work to manage expenses effectively. This article guides you through setting and handling spend limits, ensuring greater financial control and peace of mind.

Expense limits set boundaries on spending, helping manage budgets and prevent overspending or unauthorized transactions. They're like guardrails for your finances, keeping you on track.

There are three types of limits for Wallester Business account, that can be configured separately in the Client Portal:

  1. Company limits

  2. Account limits

  3. Card limits

The limits can be set as monthly and daily. The daily limit is equal to the transaction limit for the card. Card limits cannot be higher than the account limit, and the account limit cannot be higher than the company limit.

Company Limits

To set general limits, click on the «Company limits» section in the main menu. On the opened page, you can set overall spending limits for all accounts, subaccounts, and cards.

Account Limits

To set separate limits for an account and a subaccount, go to the «Accounts» section and indicate the limits by clicking on the «Limits» button.

Card Limits

To set individual limits, select a particular card in the «Cards» section and set the desired limits.

Default limits

  1. Company Default Limits — €25,000

  2. Account Default Limits — €25,000

  3. Card Default Limits — €15,000
